I AM WHO I SAY I AM
Here’s the thing: no one knows you better than you. No one else feels your emotions the way you do, understands why you react the way you do, or comprehends the unique knowledge and experiences you use to validate your thoughts and actions. Only you hold the key to that understanding. You can lie to the world, mask your struggles, and put on a front, but you cannot lie to yourself. Even when you try, deep down, you’re aware of the truth. You’re aware of the stories you tell yourself to justify your actions or avoid discomfort.
So, ask yourself: who do you want to be? Will you continue to wear the suit of deception, hiding behind layers of excuses and façades, or will you strip it away to operate as your authentic self? The choice is yours. No one can take that from you: not society, not your past, not even the voice of self-doubt within you.
Choosing authenticity isn’t easy. It means facing the uncomfortable truths, acknowledging the pain, and confronting the parts of yourself you’ve avoided. It requires courage to rewrite the narrative you’ve lived by and let go of the validation you’ve sought from others. But in doing so, you give yourself the power to reclaim your identity and live a life that aligns with your truth.
Stop living for the expectations of others and start living for the person you know you’re meant to be.
